In the winter campaign for blood donation, "Your five minutes, one's whole life," the team of Institute for blood transfusion – Nis with Palilula help, was on duty at Palilula Local Community Office. In the period of duty from 9 am to 13 pm, call to donate blood voluntarily responded to the Board and staff members of Palilula Municipality and its councillors. Palilula Municipality regularly participates in the activities of the Institute for Blood Transfusion - said Boban Mikic. In our opinion public figures should also set an example to other citizens. With this we encourage civic solidarity and raise the social responsibility of every individual - says Brad Mikić member of Palilula Council.

In Nis Transfusion Institute point out that such actions in City municipalities of Nis face a good turnout, and in each municipality they have more and more blood donors. We, each day, have our actions of this type in whole of southeast Serbia. One can say that they are really working, because it collects annually more than 20,000 units of blood. It is generally sufficient for the Clinical Center of Nis, where people come for treatment from the surrounding towns - said Doctor Danka Sokolović from the Institute. She added that the problem with the stock of blood available in certain periods, when our citizens go on vacations, but in fact this precious liquid is regularly collects thanks to great understanding of humanity of numerous individuals.
